Former State Senator and Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jack Hatch Endorses Josh Turek for U.S. Senate

Hatch joins more than 50 other former and current elected leaders endorsing Turek

Des Moines, IA – Today, former State Senator and 2014 Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Jack Hatch endorsed Josh Turek for U.S. Senate.

“Josh Turek is the real thing. He has turned personal adversity into stunning success as a member of the 2016 & 2020 gold medal wheelchair basketball Paralympics team, and won a “red” legislative district, not once but twice in 2022 and 2024. His personal story speaks to his tenacity, and his legislative agenda speaks to his commitment to Iowa values. We can certainly use his mature and deep understanding of Iowa’s future needs to represent us in the U.S. Senate. Please join me in my endorsement of Josh’s campaign,” said Jack Hatch.

Hatch served in the Iowa Senate for 12 years and was assistant majority leader. He also served six nonconsecutive terms in the Iowa House of Representatives and was state director for Senator Tom Harkin.
