In IA-Sen, week two of the general meant a tied race, Josh showing up for working people, and continued wall-to-wall coverage
Des Moines, IA – Josh Turek once again won the week this week, further cementing his strong entrance into the general election.

First, a new poll showed Josh tied with Ashley Hinson, making crystal clear that this Senate race is in play.
- From POLITICO: Democrat Josh Turek is tied with Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) heading into the Iowa Senate general election, according to a new DSCC poll obtained first by Adam. The poll has each candidate at 46 percent, with Turek leading Hinson in net favorability with +4 and -5, respectively.
- Key takeaway: “Turek also leads with Independents and has more enthusiasm from his party, with 93% of Democrats saying they’ll vote for him compared to 83% of Republicans for Hinson. While Turek has a +7 net favorability among Independents, Hinson has a -19 net favorability with them.”
Then, Josh joined Unity Point Nurses in their fight to have their union recognized.
Josh joined nurses who voted to unionize over six months ago in calling on the hospital to recognize their union – because every worker deserves the right to collective bargaining.
To close out the week, Josh continued to dominate headlines as all eyes turn to Iowa as the center of the political universe.
