Josh Turek Announces New Slate of Endorsements
Endorsements include additional current and former elected officials
Des Moines, IA – Today, Josh Turek announced new endorsements in his race for U.S. Senate. State Sen. Herman Quirmbach and former Republican State Rep. Ed Bittle join more than 50 other current and former elected officials who have endorsed Turek.
-
State Sen. Herman Quirmbach: “Josh Turek is my candidate in the Democratic Primary for U.S. Senate. I love his story, I love his energy, I love his values, his issues, and he’s proven that he can win in a tough race by beating a Republican.”
-
Former Rep. Ed Bittle: “I am endorsing Josh Turek because his common sense approach to policymaking is exactly what we need in the U.S. Senate. Josh’s grit and determination gives him bipartisan appeal, and he has shown that he can work across the aisle to find real solutions to real problems.”
Former candidates in two of Iowa’s Congressional districts also expressed strong support for Turek and highlighted his hard work and determination.
-
Ryan Melton, former candidate for Iowa’s 4th Congressional District: “I had the privilege of campaigning with Josh Turek often, and know he’s a good, honest guy whose heart is in the right place. He’s one of the more determined, hard working, genuine people I know. I’m happy to join Nathan Sage and J.D. Scholten in endorsing Josh.”
-
Sarah Corkery, former candidate for Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District: “As a breast cancer survivor and mother to a child with a disability, I see in Josh the grit and tenacity to not only beat Ashley Hinson, but to bring back the Tom Harkin values that represent Iowa.”
Indivisible Dubuque County endorsed Josh because they know he will put workers ahead of billionaires.
- Indivisible Dubuque County: “Josh’s grit and determination to represent Iowa is unparalleled. We value his strong commitment to find bipartisan solutions to people’s problems, and to do what’s right for Iowa. Josh will work to find ways to alleviate the economic struggles Iowans are facing. We know Josh is the best candidate to be Iowa’s next Senator.”
These endorsements add to the growing list of Iowa leaders rallying around Turek, including former candidates J.D. Scholten and Nathan Sage, because Josh Turek is the only candidate who can defeat Ashley Hinson in November.
“I am honored to have support from every corner of Iowa, from Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, and from working class folks who know that we don’t need more millionaires in the U.S. Senate,” said Josh Turek.
