Des Moines, IA – According to fundraising reports, two-time Paralympic gold medalist and Iowa State Representative Josh Turek outraised his primary opponent in the first quarter of 2026, and has outraised the primary field since launching his campaign last summer.

During the first quarter of 2026, 95% of the Turek campaign’s donations were under $50. During that same period, Josh raised 66% more from small donors than his primary opponent raised. In the same period, likely GOP nominee Ashley Hinson relied almost exclusively on big-dollar donors, with less than 15% of her warchest coming from small-dollar donations.

The momentum behind Josh’s campaign continues to grow with nearly 53,000 individual donors with an average donation of $33 chipping in to support his campaign.
