Josh Turek: “No protection for health care, no deal”

Council Bluffs, Iowa – In response to reports that some Senate Democrats could support Republican funding bills in exchange for a vote to extend ACA tax credits in December, State Representative and four-time Paralympian Josh Turek released the following statement:

“Health care is worth fighting for. As the cost of everything goes up, Washington Republicans have proven time and time again that they’d rather cut taxes for billionaires. Without ACA subsidies, 125,000 Iowans will see their premiums double or triple. No one in the richest country on Earth should have to choose between health care and putting food on the table. No protection for health care, no deal.”
