Josh Turek Unveils Policy Platform and Announces “Pushing for Change” Tour

Stops across the state will focus on building up the working class and fighting corruption in Washington

Des Moines, IA – Today, State Representative, four-time Paralympian, and U.S. Senate Candidate Josh Turek unveiled his policy priorities for his U.S. Senate campaign.

“Life just keeps getting harder for working class people because Washington is riddled with corruption and focused only on benefiting billionaires. As Iowa’s next U.S. Senator, I will always put Iowans first. This set of policy priorities illustrates my commitment to fighting for the working class. While Ashley Hinson’s net worth has quadrupled, Iowa’s economy and personal income growth have plummeted. More and more Iowans are struggling to afford health care, medication, housing, and groceries, and Ashley Hinson doesn’t care,” said Josh Turek.

“Pushing for Change” is a platform to rebuild the American Dream, focused on:

  • Ensuring every Iowan can afford the basics
  • Fighting for access to affordable health care, because health care is a human right
  • Stopping the corruption that allows politicians like Ashley Hinson to get richer while Iowans struggle
  • Fighting for our farmers and rural communities
  • Protecting our fundamental freedoms
  • Supporting our public schools
  • Addressing Iowa’s unique cancer crisis and the water quality crisis that’s driving it
  • Supporting active duty servicemembers and veterans
  • Eliminating barriers to employment, education, and health care for individuals with disabilities
  • Fixing our broken immigration system

Turek also announced he will embark on the “Pushing for Change” tour, a set of stops across the state to connect with voters and discuss the issues that matter most to Iowans. Tour stops will focus on pillars of his policy platform, including fighting for workers, lowering costs, protecting rural communities, and securing accessible health care for all.
