Nebraska and Southwest Iowa Building & Construction Trades Council Endorses Josh Turek for U.S. Senate
Des Moines, IA – Today, the Nebraska and Southwest Iowa Building & Construction Trades Council endorsed Josh Turek for U.S. Senate, joining other labor unions and leaders in backing the only candidate in this race who is not a millionaire.
“We’re proud to support Josh Turek for the U.S. Senate. Iowa needs a fighter for the working class in Washington, and Josh has never backed down from a fight for our workers. We know that Josh will always put the working class, labor unions, and Iowa’s workers first – and that will be a welcome change from what we have in Washington now,” said John Hanson, Secretary of the NE & SW Iowa Building & Construction Trades Council.
Josh has a 100% voting record with the Iowa Federation of Labor and has been a steadfast supporter of workers’ rights in the Iowa House. In the U.S. Senate, he will continue to fight for workers by passing the PRO Act to strengthen our unions and protect collective bargaining, holding corporations accountable by cracking down on unfair wages and incentivizing policies that benefit workers, and investing in job training programs and apprenticeships to prepare the next generation of Iowans to fill gaps in the labor market without needing a four-year college degree.
“I’m honored to be endorsed by the NE & SW Iowa Building Trades. We have too many people in Washington who aren’t looking out for the working class, and we need more representatives who understand that strong unions build strong wages. I will always fight to protect collective bargaining rights and put workers first,” said Josh Turek.
