DES MOINES, IA — Today, the Josh Turek for Iowa campaign announced that Josh will participate in two televised U.S. Senate debates, the first hosted by Iowa PBS on October 7th and the second hosted by Nexstar (WHO TV) on October 13th.

“I believe Iowans deserve to hear firsthand about the choice in this election between a common sense prairie populist who will work with anyone to take on Washington’s corruption and get things done for Iowa, and a corrupt D.C. politician who has hurt Iowans to enrich herself and her billionaire donors,” said Josh Turek. “Hinson has increased her net worth by up to 10 times since getting to Congress, all while voting to cut Iowans’ healthcare and make everything from gas and groceries to housing and fertilizer more expensive. Our campaign will spend the next 63 days holding her accountable and bringing Iowans across the political spectrum together to make a generational change here in Iowa.”

Josh has spent the summer continuing his “go everywhere” approach and meeting Iowans where they are — at NASCAR, parades, the State Fair, and RAGBRAI, and more — in all of Iowa’s 99 counties. The campaign is blanketing screens across Iowa with “USA,” which outlines Josh’s lifelong commitment to putting country over party, ‘Prove It,” which highlights the more than 700 times Josh voted with Iowa Republicans, and “I-35,” which makes clear his commitment to working with anyone – including President Trump – to fix our broken immigration system. Josh is building a coalition to win, earning the support of Republicans, farmers, law enforcement, small business owners, and veterans — and that’s why Cook Political Report moved the race to Toss Up.
