NEW: Josh Turek for Iowa Releases New Ad, “C’mon”
The spot details the many times corrupt Ashley Hinson has put herself and her donors ahead of Iowans
Des Moines, IA – Today, the Josh Turek for Iowa campaign released its latest ad, “C’mon,” which uses Ashley Hinson’s own words to spotlight her longstanding record of corrupt self dealing in D.C. — all while her net worth increased by up to 10 times.
It’s no coincidence that Ashley Hinson’s net worth has increased by up to $8 million since she got to D.C. as she championed legislation that “benefits her own family fortune.” Despite telling Iowans she sold all of her stock, Hinson quietly holds up to $5 million in insurance stock and has raked in millions of dollars in campaign contributions from corporate PACs and lobbyists while repeatedly voting in their favor at the expense of working class Iowans.
This 30 second spot is just the start of Hinson’s record of corrupt self dealing at Iowans’ expense, including:
- Having her husband – a shadow lobbyist – arrange meetings between his insurance lobbying group and the entire Iowa Congressional delegation while owning “millions” in insurance stock.
- Fighting to block the release of the Epstein files and accepting nearly $100,000 from Epstein-linked billionaires who appear in the files more than 700 times.
- Spending more than $50,000 of taxpayer dollars on a “luxury” D.C. apartment.
- Using campaign funds on “lavish vacations to some of the most exclusive luxury resorts in the U.S.”
- Taking more than $100,000 worth of overseas trips paid for by special interests.
What’s more: In the time that Hinson was enriching herself and her billionaire donors, she voted to cut healthcare for 110,000 Iowans and hike insurance premiums for 119,000 Iowans, continue a war that is sending gas and diesel prices soaring, and support tariffs that are hammering Iowa farmers and making everything more expensive.
The Josh Turek for Iowa campaign has been blanketing screens across Iowa for months. The campaign started the general election running “USA,” a spot that features Josh speaking directly to Iowans about his lifelong commitment to putting country over party, followed by “Prove It,” which highlights the more than 700 times Josh voted with Iowa Republicans,“I-35,” which spotlights Josh’s commitment to working with anyone – including President Trump – to fix our broken immigration system, and “Went Through Hell,” which features Josh’s father talking about how his son’s fight to fix our broken healthcare system is personal.

[ASHLEY HINSON]: “Coincidence? C’mon.”
[NARRATOR]: Nah. Hinson wrote a special tax break that benefits her own family’s business.
And she holds up to $5 million in stock, despite telling Iowans she sold off her stocks.
And don’t forget the millions she raised from corporate PACs and lobbyists after voting repeatedly to let them rip off Iowans.
[ASHLEY HINSON]: “Coincidence? C’mon.”
[JOSH TUREK]: I’m Josh Turek, and I approve this message.
