NEW: Josh Turek for Iowa Releases New Ad, “I-35”
The new spot highlights Josh’s commitment to working with anyone to address America’s broken immigration system
Des Moines, IA – Today, Josh Turek for Iowa released its newest ad, “I-35.” The new spot features Josh talking directly to Iowans about his commitment to working with anyone – including President Trump – to fix the broken immigration system and keep Iowans safe.
“In the U.S. Senate, I’ll work with anyone to fix it, including President Trump, to secure the border, stop the flow of drugs into Iowa,” says Josh in the ad. “I voted with Republicans to let law enforcement arrest and deport criminals, and I’ll never stop working to keep Iowans safe.”
When the Biden administration and Congress failed to address immigration, Josh broke with his party and worked with Iowa Republicans to pass legislation that allowed Iowa law enforcement to deport individuals who came here illegally. Josh has consistently worked across the aisle on immigration, passing legislation to crack down on fentanyl in Iowa and keep dangerous criminals off the streets.
Meanwhile, Ashley Hinson refused to address the issue when she had the chance, opposing the bipartisan border deal that was endorsed by Border Patrol agents and called the “most restrictive,” “toughest,” “most stringent,” and “most conservative” border bill in recent history.

The Josh Turek for Iowa campaign has been communicating with Iowans in every corner of the state across platforms for weeks now. In that time, the campaign has run “USA,” a spot that features Josh speaking directly to Iowans about his lifelong commitment to putting country over party, and “Prove It,” which highlights the more than 700 times Josh voted with Iowa Republicans to get things done for our state.

[JOSH]: I-35, one of the busiest highways in the country. It connects Iowa to the Southern Border, and the broken immigration system that both parties have failed to fix.
I’m Josh Turek, and in the U.S. Senate, I’ll work with anyone to fix it, including President Trump, to secure the border, stop the flow of drugs into Iowa.
I voted with Republicans to let law enforcement arrest and deport criminals, and I’ll never stop working to keep Iowans safe.
I’m Josh Turek. I approve this message.
