NEW: Josh Turek Launches “At the Buzzer Tour”
Josh will continue his “go everywhere” strategy, meeting Iowans where they are to hear about the issues that matter most to them
Des Moines, IA – Josh Turek will criss-cross the state in the final weeks before Election Day during his statewide “At the Buzzer Tour.” Josh has spent the last 400+ days meeting Iowans where they are — at NASCAR, parades, the State Fair, RAGBRAI, tailgates, farms, and more — in all of Iowa’s 99 counties. Ranked one of Iowa’s most effective and bipartisan lawmakers who has regularly crossed the aisle to cut taxes and lower costs, Josh is winning over Iowans across the political spectrum.
“There are two things I learned from representing Team USA in four Paralympic games. First: it’s about the name on the front of the jersey, not the back. I’ve voted with Republicans more than 700 times to find bipartisan solutions for Iowans because we’re all on the same team,” said Josh Turek. “Second: you play until the final buzzer. We’re in the final quarter, and we’re going to leave it all on the court.”
The statewide GOTV tour will include dozens of stops from river to river in the final weeks of the campaign – from football games to farms to senior homes to speedways – where Josh will hear directly from Iowans about how corrupt D.C. politicians like Ashley Hinson have hurt Iowa to enrich themselves and their billionaire donors.
The tour launches as polls continue to show Josh leading Hinson. With Republicans on the defensive, GOP super PACs are flooding the state with more than $100 million in spending and Iowa just became the first Senate race ever to have the RNC launch TV ads in. Leaked memos from both Senate Leadership Fund and the National Republican Senatorial Committee make clear that they are begging donors for millions more to save Hinson as her allies are sounding the alarm amidst “growing fears that the race is too close for such a red state.”
