NEW: Josh Turek Launches “Farmers for Turek” Coalition
Group consists of farmers across Iowa who are backing Josh because of his commitment to fighting for Iowa’s farmers
Des Moines, IA – Today, Josh Turek launched “Farmers for Turek,” a coalition of Iowa farmers who are committed to sending Josh to the U.S. Senate because he is the fighter farmers and rural Iowans deserve.
The group is co-chaired by Seth Watkins, who runs a cow-calf operation with sheep and bees in Page County and Ellen Walsh-Rosmann, who raises corn, soybeans, small grains, cover crops, and livestock in Shelby County.
“I have seen firsthand how Josh Turek works across the aisle to deliver for rural Iowa. Josh is a great listener, understands complex issues, and knows how to fix them. I’ve had the honor of sitting with Josh around many tables and in many conversations; talking about ag policy, rural issues, and the rising cost of doing business. What stands out most is that he listens first. He asks thoughtful questions, values lived experience, and genuinely wants to build solutions that work for working families, small businesses, and rural communities. I know that he is the fighter Iowa’s farmers need in the U.S. Senate,” said Ellen Walsh-Rosmann, Co-chair of Farmers for Turek.
“Iowa farmers just keep getting kicked while we’re down, and it’s because too many people in Washington are not thinking about the impact their policy decisions have on folks here in rural Iowa. I believe wholeheartedly that Josh Turek will be different from the status quo in Washington that continues to sell us out. Between fighting for rural health care to ending Washington’s ‘Get Big or Get Out’ ag policy, I know that Josh will work with anyone to deliver for Iowa farmers in the U.S. Senate,” said Seth Watkins, Co-chair of Farmers for Turek.
