NEW: Josh Turek Statement on Hinson Voting to Continue Iran War, Again

Hinson has voted at least six times to continue the Middle East Conflict

Des Moines, IA – After Ashley Hinson voted for the sixth time to continue the reckless war in Iran, U.S. Senate candidate Josh Turek released the following statement:

“By voting to continue this war in Iran, Ashley Hinson has once again shown that she does not care about Iowans. As gas prices hit nearly $4 per gallon and our farmers deal with skyrocketing input prices, Hinson is voting to support a war with no end in sight. Iowans can’t afford gas, groceries, and health care while Hinson sends tens of billions of dollars overseas to fund a war with no strategy. Meanwhile, we are closing schools, roads, and hospitals here in Iowa. When I’m in the U.S. Senate, I will put an end to forever wars and will always put Iowa and Iowans first.”

Since the war began in February, the average household in Iowa has paid an extra $516 in gasoline. Last month, Hinson admitted that the war is a “political liability” as it continues to drive up costs for Iowans. And yet, since then, she has repeatedly voted to continue the conflict.
