NEW: Republican Pollsters Call Josh Turek’s IA-SEN Lead “Remarkable” as His Momentum Grows One Month Out from Election Day
Rasmussen Reports: “Turek’s lead is remarkable in a state Donald Trump won by a 13-point margin in 2024.”
GOP Pollster: “[T]he warning signs are clear: Iowa Republicans seem ambivalent, independents prefer Turek, and even [Hinson’s] supporters say they aren’t sure.”
Des Moines, IA – New polling by Fox News and Rasmussen Reports in the last 24 hours show Josh Turek leading Ashley Hinson by four points – including in a sample that voted for Trump by 14 points, even more than his 2024 margin of victory.
The state of the race for Hinson a month out from election day: “But the warning signs are clear: Iowa Republicans seem ambivalent, independents prefer Turek, and even her supporters say they aren’t sure,” said GOP pollster Daron Shaw, who works on the Fox News Poll with Democrat Chris Anderson.
What’s more: Josh continues to lead with critical voting blocks that will decide this race.
- Fox: “Independents favor Turek by two-to-one.”
- Rasmussen: “Among moderate voters, Turek leads by a 34-point margin, 63% to 29%.”
Hinson’s negative favorability continues to drag her down – even with her own party, as Josh picks up support from 14% of Republicans. Nearly 4 in 10 respondents say their view of Hinson is “strongly” unfavorable.
What’s more: Josh has more enthusiastic support as “more of Turek’s backers are certain of their choice […] and twice as many Hinson supporters say they might change their mind.”
“Iowans are sick and tired of corrupt D.C. politicians like Ashley Hinson, which is why Josh Turek is going to win this race in 32 days. Iowans know that Hinson got up to 15 times richer in her time in D.C. while voting seven times to continue the war that is driving up fuel prices and making everything more expensive,” said Brendan Koch, Josh Turek for Iowa campaign manager. “Meanwhile, Josh Turek is a common-sense, bipartisan champion who has voted with Republicans more than 700 times to lower costs, cut taxes, and keep our communities safe, and that’s why Iowans are going to send him to the U.S. Senate.”
Josh Turek is heading into the final month with momentum at his back. While Josh meets Iowans everywhere – at town halls, NASCAR, parades, the State Fair, RAGBRAI, tailgates, and more, Hinson is desperately trying – and failing – to hide the fact that she has gotten as much as 15 times richer in D.C. thanks to up to $5 million in stock all while cutting Iowans’ health care and voting seven times to continue the war in Iran that is driving up prices on Iowa’s families and farmers. In the last week alone, Hinson has dodged local press three times, declining interviews and failing to show up to her own press conferences.
That’s why Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball moved the race to toss-up, and it’s why Republicans are panicking, begging donors for more money and upping their spending to $100 million to bail out a flailing Hinson.
