NEW: Ruben Gallego Endorses Josh Turek for U.S. Senate
Des Moines, IA – Today, U.S. Senator from Arizona Ruben Gallego endorsed Josh Turek for U.S. Senate. A Marine combat veteran, son of immigrants, and fighter for the working class, Ruben won a battleground Senate race and is laser-focused on lowering costs for everyday families and holding big corporations accountable.
“Like me, Josh didn’t grow up with much. He knows what it’s like to struggle, which means he knows what it’s like to fight. He’s done just that in the Iowa legislature, going to the mat to fight for working families like the ones we both grew up in and fighting like hell to hold corporations accountable. I am proud to endorse Josh for the U.S. Senate and look forward to working with him to make life easier for Iowa families,” said U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego.
“Ruben knows what it’s like to grow up facing significant economic adversity. Like me, he started working at a young age to help his family, him at a hot dog shop and me delivering newspapers. We share an unwavering commitment to fighting for working class families like ours that are being sold out by the billionaires and corporations running Washington. A Marine combat veteran, Ruben knows the cost of war and the importance of taking care of our brave men and women both when they are serving our nation, and when they return home. I look forward to fighting alongside Ruben in the U.S. Senate to deliver for working-class families, take care of our veterans, protect our seniors, and more,” said Josh Turek.
Today’s endorsement builds on continued momentum for Josh’s campaign. In the last few weeks, Josh earned the endorsement of Iowa’s longtime Senator Tom Harkin and 2020 Iowa caucuses winner Pete Buttigieg. A recent poll showed Josh over 50% in this primary, leading his opponent 53-27. Over the next 13 days, Josh is criss-crossing Iowa, meeting directly with voters on his statewide “Pushing for Change GOTV tour.”
