RECAP: Josh Barnstorms Northwest Iowa to Celebrate Independence Day

IOWA – This weekend, Josh Turek visited seven counties in two days across Northwest Iowa for Fourth of July festivities. A four-time Paralympian and son of a Vietnam War veteran, Josh was proud to celebrate 250 years of the United States with Iowans across the political spectrum.

First, Josh visited the Heartland Military Museum in Iowa Falls. Joined by his friend, former U.S. Senate candidate, and Chair of Veterans for Turek Nathan Sage, Josh toured the museum and thanked veterans for their service.

Then, Josh stopped by the Red, White, and Wheels Car Show in Belmond where he spoke with local residents while checking out some iconic classic cars.

To round out the day, Josh visited small business owners and community leaders in Clay, Pocahontas, and Palo Alto counties, where he spoke about his commitment to fighting for rural Iowa and representing Iowans in every corner of the state in the U.S. Senate.

On the Fourth of July, Josh started the morning at the Paullina Airport for their fly-in breakfast where he spoke with residents about the importance of lowering costs, increasing access to health care, and investing in our rural communities.

Afterwards, Josh rolled in the Storm Lake Star Spangled Spectacular parade and celebrated Independence Day alongside thousands of Iowans who, like Josh, are proud to call this country home.

For the next 120 days, Josh will continue his “go everywhere” strategy, meeting Iowans where they are to hear about the issues that matter most to them and make clear that he will be a fighter for all Iowans in the U.S. Senate.
